Love the bright beam. Haven't used the different lens that came with it yet. Charged it once since I got it and still have a very bright beam. I use it around the house at night. The distance I can see with the beam is great. Also have used it down at my camp.

Comments about Optronics NightBlaster Rechargeable Spotlight:

Used this light for the first time and was slightly impressed with the brightness. About 10 or 15 minutes later the light went dead. If you are hunting at night with it or using on the boat for early mornings, I would not rely on this light. VERY SHORT BATTERY LIFE!!!!! Had it about 8 months and used it only 4 or 5 times because of battery life and it does not work at all anymore. Thought it might be the bulb, but come to find out there is no way to change the bulb even after unscrewing the whole light. I would not purchase this light again and don't recommend it at all! You will be disappointed.

Comments about Optronics NightBlaster Rechargeable Spotlight:

Bought for Night Fishing. Battery worked for a while then started not holding a charge. Optronics does not offer replacement batteries (nor does it have a search). But I was able to find extra batteries on line by searching for the battery re-order NO."A-5512". The replacement battery was not much better and cost [$]. Moisture got under the lens and corroded the reflector. Good thing I bought the 5.99 Gander Mt. protection plan. I now have a Princeton head lamp that lasts longer and uses AA's. Twice as much but more than twice the value too.

          • A:

            Effectively... about 100 yards.
I like to use it in the 10 to 40 yard range for spotting fish in the water. Give it a try, you might be surprised what you'll.

If you put on the Orange lens... it's 2/3 as effective.
If you put on the Red lens it's 1/2 as effective.
