Comments about Old Town Twin Otter Kayak:
This is a great kayak for families. I like the fact that I can adjust both the front seat and rear...they slide on rails inside the boat. I have put 3 children and myself in there at once and space was fine. The kayak tracks well for such a long unit. Like the last review mentioned, you will need two adults to get this thing up on racks on a tall vehicle, it is heavy. One issue that I have noticed are the seats are made of plastic material and your rear can get sore after awhile...nothing a blanket or pad wouldnt solve. This is one of the best deals on a recreation tandem kayak out there. Something else I forgot to mention, the twin otter is easy to get in and out with the large opening, some tandum kayaks have two separate sitting areas. It is also a great fishing kayak...lots of room for tackle box, cooler, poles, and 2 adults and a kid...heck I even had a crawdad trap hooked to the back in the bungee cord area in the rear of the kayak!!

Comments about Old Town Twin Otter Kayak:
I Bought the Old Town twin otter in 2005 as my first kayak so my son and I could experience nature together. I found this tandem kayak to be the best purchase I've made for family recreation still to this day. We had the most fun ever while paddling around together. Only drawback I found was while my son was small I had to do most of the work and I found lifting the kayak to the roof of my SUV by myself was challanging. This kayak is very stable and easy to handle even for beginners.
