Comments about Old Town Tripper 172 Canoe:

I purchased this 2 years ago but was unable to use it until last summer. The canoe tracked well and was a great experience on the water. My wife and I took this out several times with nephews, nieces, and dogs as passengers. The dogs decided they were going to rock the canoe and I was quite pleased when it didn't flip, one of the dogs fell out wasn't too happy about it though.

The canoe is said to have a 1500 lb. capacity and weighs about 75-80 lbs. We probably could have used more weight in the canoe but never had a problem maneuvering. The canoe is heavy to carry and at 17 feet long is a little awkward if you don't have help. The weight of the canoe is my only gripe.
