Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Okuma SLV Fly Reels:
I am extremely happy with this reel. I use it for fall/winter steelhead fishing in Michigan and it performs very well. The drag works well though it can be a little sensative. I can't see paying more when Okuma has made a solid product in the SLV.

Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Okuma SLV Fly Reels:
I've used this reel on freshwater (trout and steelheads) and saltwater (ladyfish and snook). It performs very well on either. It's quality is on the par with higher priced reels. Also spare spools are readily available. I have both a 8/9 wt an 5/6 wt. An 11 wt is next.

Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Okuma SLV Fly Reels:
I bought this reel for salt water fishing, mainly redfish. This reel is bulletproof! Smooth as silk, large enough to hold all my line and backing, the drag is awesome. I can play a red or put the drag down and stop 'em cold. I do wish the spool wouldn't take up line as you cast. The drag is awesome but there is no pressure on the spool to keep the spool form winding forward. I slip the line under my pinky and problem solved though. BEST reel for the money!! I now have 6 of them :-)
