Comments about O'Brien OBrien Voodoo Kneeboard:

Let me start by saying that O'brien has done some nice enhancements to a beginner board. The molded fins dig in when needed and don't get in the way of 360s if you lean correctly. The strap has a very nice pull handle to assist in finding it if you fall. The handle hook is best used once you've pulled up to your knees and are trying to adjust up further and place the strap on, but is difficult to use from start-up. So the big question is why in the heck can't a company that has been making kneeboards for so long come up with a comfortable pad??? What is the point in the ridges where your shins go, other than to make your shins hurt on every bounce. I believe if they were removed, the pad may be comfortable. The only people who have ridden the board that seem not to mind were kids under 70lbs. I'll have to assume the padding on their better boards are more comfortable, but even beginners want to be comfortable. Try a HO Joker, which is my other board if you want total comfort. If the pad was even close to comparison with the Joker, I would recommend this board. Another thing to note is the board has a lot of drag, which may be intentional, but it wears your grip out much sooner.
