The back cover ripped out after two weeks of use. Not what I expected after paying [$]. To be honest I do not know of any 3 person design that last more than one summer so they all have trouble hiring a good design engineer.

We use to use the "L" shaped Super Mable/Gladiator tube but they were discontinued. Since then, we have been searching for a replacement multi-person tube that performs as well. We started with the Super Gladiator but the backrest is too high on the sides confining the passengers too much. The O'Brien Relax has a shorter backrest and sides so passengers are less confined. Also the tendency for the tube is to lean back slightly which keeps the large flat bottom from resting on the water during slinging allowing for faster slinging with less drag. As far as performance this is the closest to the old Super Mable/Gladiator style.

    Since we could get 3 (or usually 4) kids on it at the same time, it was perfect. They rode it for hours and couldn't get enough. Ages 4 to 14.

      The back rest of this tube is horribly constructed! The first tube we received didn't last a day with 3 adult medium build riders and the back rest blew out. We thought we'd give this tube another try so we had a replacement tube sent ......bad decision..once again the tube didn't even last for 4 rides. The same day we put this tube in the water for the first time on the 4th tube ride with 3 medium adult riders the back rest once again blew out. The water was relatively smooth with only boat waves. A few minutes into the ride the back rest once again blew out. I will not replace this tube this time. I would never recommend this tube to anyone planning on pulling anyone more than small children. The pictures shows adult riders about the same size as our riders and the back rest never held up on either tube.

        We had this tube only 3 weeks and used it 3 times and the back rest of the tube blew out with only two riders on it. The average age of the riders were 14 and under all of which are thin and not over weight, thus the tube should have held up much better. The kids absolutely loved it when it was utilizable. Even the few adults that rode on it were very impressed. Great tube just poorly constructed

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
