Bought it for the tent but use it at home some on an AC adapter. Love the fan and I'm very impressed with it's performance.

After a little use it started making a very faint noise while running. It isn't loud enough to be a problem but it makes me a little worried about it's durablility. If it lasts I'll be very satisfied.

I bought this fan to use at Scout Camp this summer. The camp is very hot and it is hard to get to sleep when it is so humid at night in Georgia. The fan is quiet and provides enough breeze on low setting to keep my cool. On high setting, it will blow sweat,bugs and everything else way! It is the perfect accessory for camping in hotter climates and works well in a tent or in one of the adirondacks at the Scout camp. Thanks O2!

I bought this fan for a Father-Daughter camp out at the local elementary school in early October. We didn't have a cool evening, so having the air circulation from this fan made for a fairly comfortable night sleeping. I highly recommend. I'd like to see a 12"-14" model.

I bought this fan as part of my back-up winter heating plan, when electric power is lost. Its magnetic base allows me to stick it to the back side of the heat deflector of my fireplace insert (where the air is cooler) to circulate warm air from above the insert when the integral blower is inoperable. It works great! This powerful little fan moves a lot of air--enough to allow me to keep my entire 2200 square foot house at 72F when it's in the 40's outside. I've read of others having problems getting the battery pack to fit correctly, but everything worked easily for me and I had it running minutes after taking it out of the box.

Works great. I made an outlet and ran this fan froma deep cycle marine battery all weekend long. That is the only power source I use so I cannot comment on the fan running on D batteries. I purchased to hand overtop of our babies pack and play to keep him cool when he is napping. The magnet setup is strong and I felt comfortable leaving it hang over top of him. If you hang it in your tent, make sure your tent can handle the weight.
