Comments about The North Face Womens Greenland Zip II Insulated Boot:

Im a letter carrier in Northern, IL. My work boots werent warm enough for the day of the deep freeze, so I spent all sunday morning trying to find the perfect deep freeze boot. Im outside for 7 hours a day walking in snow. These are rated to -40 and they are comforatable to walk all day in. But my feet froze solid with toe warmers in my boots. It took about 2hrs walking in snow and 30 something below zero before they were completly blocks of Ice. I wore them for 3 days and all 3 days my feet froze. By the 3rd day it was 14 degrees above zero and my feet were the coldest part of my body. I like this boot in everyway but there not warm enough. I gave them 3 stars because warmth was what I needed. They are light weight and as comfy as my tennis shoes to walk in. They run small. I wear a size 6 and the 6.5 was still a bit snug with 1 pair of socks and toe warmers. Im hoping the the toe area will stretch out soon. I would recommend for short periods of outdoor time only.
