        I like everything about this scope, clear optics, reticle, easily adjustable, finish. If I could change anything about it I would make it a 4.5 -14 x 50. It's not a huge thing but I would have liked it better. Since I have not test fired to judge accuracy and zero hold I did not give it 5 stars but I'm confident it will perform in those areas.

        Exceptional is the best description for this scope. Clarity, power, quality and operation are all great. I have seen mentioned nowhere what I think is this scopes best feature. The Bullet Drop Compensation was a nice surprise. I use this scope on a Remington 700 in Ruger 204 caliber. Nikon's web page has a calculator that you put in the Ammunition Mfg., caliber, bullet type, velocity and your sight in info & it tells you the yardage for each of the circles. You can even print out a chart to tape to your rifle stock for quick reference. This system works perfectly and is very easy to customize to your own preferences by changing the sight and dead on distances. I have tried several bullet drop compensation systems, but this is the only one that I have liked. My experience with this scope is going to lead to my buying a Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 BDC for my Ruger 204 and I will move the 4.5-14x40 to my Ruger Model 77 .17 caliber. It's not that this scope isn't great for the 204, I just want more of a really good thing.

          Very pleased with clarity and power.

              I MOUNTED THIS SCOPE ON MY SAVAGE 308 SAVAGE TACTICAL AND WAS AMAZED AT THE QUALITY OF THIS SCOPE AND IT DIDN'T COST ME AN ARM AND A LEG EITHER. IT TURNED MY HUNTING RIFLE INTO A TACK DRIVING SNIPER RIFLE!!
