Well, I guess the good thing is it was easy to install, the suction cup has a strong grip and the remote was easy to use, but it would have been better to have a velcro loop on the remote so you could attach it to the windshield support or something. This spotlight doesn't shine bright enough and I plan on sending it back.

The NightBlaster was easy to set up and ready to use straight from the box; no assembly is required. The suction cup mounting is surprisingly strong yet easy to engage and disconnect with the flip of a lever. The controls are set up much like a tv remote and the range of motion was better than expected. When not using the spot light, the unit has a lower deck light setting that is not overpowering and lights the deck well. When not using it for boating, I carry it in the car in case someone needs extra light while changing a tire. This product performs exceptionally well and is a great value considering it's low cost.

OK here goes , i do securety work at night and with this light i dont have to get out and use flashlight. The 1st one i bought up here in canada was very costly as i had to order in through local rv dealer here .
The negatives are few, sometimes suction didnt hold but could be i forgot to clean and wet where i stuck it ..

If we had read the reviews before we purchased this light, we probably would not have bought it (due to the poor reviews) however, since we already ordered it we've found it to be a great addition to our boat. The suction cup is so large that it'll stick very well to most surfaces but when you first use it you have to pivot the light (remotely) so you have the leverage to turn the suction cup wrench. Be sure that the suction cup and the mounting area is clean and DRY do not moisten. This is imperative IT MUST BE DRY, DRY DRY. The light has a cool safety feature that turns off the spot light when you pivot it downward (this prevents the heat from the light from melting the housing if it's to remain for any length of time. Most people mentioned that the rotating motor was jerky or didn't turn smoothly. We found this to be a power supply problem. If your cigarette plug cannot support the power demand of this light, PLUS the remote control motor simultaneously, you can expect problems with the rotating motor to be jerky or not work at all (due to the lack of power). Not all cigarette plugs can pull enough power to support the light and the rotating motor at the same time so you'll have to try using a "portable power supply" if you experience this problem. Here's a picture of our portable battery power that handles this light easily. We just plug it directly into this unit and VOILA!! instant LIGHT!!

Only con is I wish the cord were longer than 10 feet.

I ordered this for my husband and father-in-law for on their new fishing boat and they love it! There is a spotlight setting, a setting to light the inside of the boat and a remote control that is fantastic. It is very easy to install and can be removed easily as well. Worth every penny!
