Just received these boots today. Put them on, wore them back to work 8 hours right out of the box no breakin time. The weather was snowy-wet-slushy, worked outside most of the day, walked around town for about 2-1/2 hours more. My feet remained warm and dry. I have a somewhat wide foot but these seem to be just fine, if you have a rather wide foot that may be a issuse. Bottom line GREAT boot, nice looking (looks are not that important, keeping my feet warm and dry is),great price. I am on my feet 10-14 hours everyday so time will tell. Today was the test with the conditions. Boots passed with flying colors, I would diffently recommend these.

The worst pair of boots I have ever owned. I got them around Christmas at the Gander in Johnstown, PA. I am a Merrell fan, but they are pricey. I thought I was getting a good deal on new hiking boots for [$]. Well, you get what you pay for. Even before they started to fall apart, they were not waterproof or breathable as the tags claimed. Within a month, the seams between the leather and fabric were beginning to fray and separate. Once this started, the boots completely fell apart. I bit the bullet today and bought a pair of Merrells for a lot more money. I actually threw my Nevados away at the shoe store and walked out in my new boots. One hundred bucks well spent. I bet they last years rather than two months. To be fair, I am very hard on shoes. I spend a LOT of time outdoors in some rather unfavorable conditions. With that being said, these shoes should have stood the test. That was why I bought them in the first place.

Comments about Nevados Women's Klondike Waterproof Mid Hiking Boot:
I love these hiking boots! I used to wear Keens, until I realized that they do not have a good tread in wet/muddy conditions. I bought these Nevados on a whim because they seemed to have a better tread. I was very skeptical because the price was "too good to be true". On the contrary, they are the best hiking boots I've had in years. They are comfortable for hot & cold weather, good traction, waterproof, and they never caused heel blisters. The only con is that the laces are hard to tighten (minor inconvenience). I will buy them again.
