        The top part of the skull plate that gets screwed on ends up having random gaps between it and the skull piece. So ends up not exactly looking real and really fake.

          I have a few of these on the wall now. I am not a big fan of the skull cap mounts and havent shot one I think is big enough for a real mount. I have always liked the english mounts. Friends have boiled skulls and they look nice, but I dont have no way to boil mine or the time to do so. All you have to do is cut them off flush, drill a hole, and screw them on.

              The deer I got this year was a nice 10 pt. but not a monster. I still wanted to display the rack and looked at the various do it yourself products out there. Uncle Mike's saved the day as I had cut the antlers from the skull cap and other similar products required them to still be attached to a portion of the skull cap. Relatively easy to assemble. I stained the skull to give it an older look and it turned out great.

              This is my second kit, both of them have a pair of white tail shed antlers on them that i found. Way better way to show off your sheds. Very realistic in color and shape, can't really adjust spread at base, but know one will know if it is off by that little bit. Drilling the antlers is the only tricky part, may be better with two people, one to hold and one to drill.When i find another pair, will be ordering another one.

                Found a big set of whitetail sheds that where right together and in perfect condition . This mount is alot cheaper than taxidermy . The mount looks very good. Very easy to use and done in 30 minutes.
