Placed it with 10-2 sun and so far it has been in place running for 11 months taken hundreds of pictures on a food plot. Maybe I got a good one. I am going to get another one hope it works as well

I have another brand for a solar panel charger and battery pack that both have armored cables. I was looking to buy another and saw this one, but decided against it because the cable is not protected. Squirrels, chipmunks, mice, and other rodents will chew threw it easily. Too much money to spend on something that has the cable unprotected.

It appears to only come with one connector so if you wish to connect to both a modem and a camera like I wanted to you would need to buy a splicer of some kind. (I'm not sure that would work either...) It also needs a better way to attach it to a tree like a strap or something other than screws. It came with a strap but there was not a good way to fasten it to the tree in a way that angles it correctly for the sun. (kind of important on a SOLAR panel). Installed it about 3 weeks ago now and my battery level on the camera I have it attached to (uses 4 D batteries) is now at 93% so I figure that is not too bad. I was not able to conceal it well and it sticks out like a sore thumb so I would be concerned about theft if placed in an area with much activity. There is no good way to secure it.

Does extend battery life some - but not much better than D cell batteries. Have already had to send one back plus the two cameras I had used it on. I did have one 6 week period that it worked great - but does not make up for the times I have had numerous problems with it.

Worked just fine out of the box. This needs to be in a sunny location.....yes, because its SOLAR powered!! The more sun...the better! Pick your locations wisely, i.e. field edge facing southerly once foliage is full. For hunting season/winter just dont put in a pine forest. I've had the panel out for a few weeks through ice/rain/snow/well sub-zero(-26) temps and its working just fine. Highly recommended.

Purchased one and it did hold a charge but did nothing to extend the life of the batteries. Camera worked the same with or without this excessory. Waste of money.

After several purchases of solor panels to keep my batteries charged in my camera and not having any luck. I purchase the Moultrie Feeders® Camera Power Panel by Moultrie. Was the best thing I ever did. You have to make sure you have it in a lighted area and it reads atleast 50% on the reader to keep the battery charged. The neat part about this product is, it runs on the solar during the day and your regular batteries at night. I have had no problems with my unit and I'm looking to buy another one when I purchase another camera. Very easy set-up.

Recieved 2 solar panels as a gift, one did not hold a charge out of the box, the other worked for 6 months before it stopped holding a charge. Also have 3 moultrie game cameras and 2 scent drippers, none of which work.
