            I will be adding a heavier lock and stronger, heavier screws when placing this box in a public area. Placed in a private setting the provided lock and screws would be more than enough.

            We have several bear in the area and they ripped our camera off the tree and broke the strap so that is why we got the security box and so far they have only tried to eat it with no damage to the camera. It is great!

                  I took off the bottom sides of the camera to make it easier to access the camera. I also painted with some gray and brown paint to make it less noticeable in the woods. It fits my Moultrie I40R tightly. The cable and lock that come with the box are throw aways. I bought a heavier duty lock and lag screw the box into the tree. Using a portable drill makes that very easy. You have to MacGiver it - and it won't keep a determined thieve from taking it - but otherwise works OK.

                      Bought this Camera Box thought it was a good investment to keep my camera safe. It wasn't, someone broke it open and stole my camera without ever messing with the lock.

                              Yes. I have numerous pictures of just black fur because the bear was messing with the camera. This box will prevent a bear from getting to your camera. I would recommed using longer screws (3")to secure it to the tree than the ones that came with the box.
