Product Description
moultrie This feeder combines the convenience of a traditional spin-cast feeder with a programmable battery-operated feeder. Customizable feeding controls give you the ability to schedule up to 6 different feed times per day with an up-to-the-minute timer for precise programming of start times and variable feed amounts. The feeder stands 6' tall atop a Push 'n Lock pole system that keeps the legs locked together and sturdy, while the unit remains easy to fill from ground level. The control box with timer and battery holder is located in an easy-to-access weather-resistant box, and the varmint guard keeps unwanted munchers away. Plastic, tapered hopper with lockable flip lid and metal feeder feet for stability. Assembly required. Operates on one 6-volt battery (not included). One-year limited warranty.

        This model is a great feeder for the price. Easy on the battery and easy to load.
        However, the varmint guard as is will not keep all critters out once they learn how to feed from it. We have recent pictures of deer feeding at the dispenser with their tongues and, of course, coons with their paws.

        The feeder is set for once/day at minimum volume and 100 lbs of corn lasted less than ten days.

        Perhaps an accessory in the form of an additional guard could be designed to affix to the bottom of the feeder to extend the range to the dispenser. Another mfr offers this inexpensive accessory for their feeders and they work quite well. We have use them successfully to inhibit deer, cattle, racoons, etc. I am going to build a work-around for our Moultries. They are good feeders otherwise.

            after reading some reviews was leary but on sale bought anyway very pleased is my first feeder works great no issues so far lid should be squirrel deterrent varmit guard cheap but will adapt for that myself

              me and my grandson bought this yesterday looked at several first this was best for money, really easy build and GOOD DIRECTIONS easy to program i will definately get another soon for second woods and very quiet running oh yeh build outside house to big to fit out door we found out after the fact

                    I purchased three of these feeders in the off-season when they were on sale and stored them until the next season. When I opened the boxes I was missing one control unit. I called Moultrie expecting that they would send me the missing part, and I was made to feel like I was being dishonest because I didn't open the product right away! Anyone who has stored a feeder of this size knows how much room they take up once they are removed from the box and put together. It is a shame that the company didn't choose to do the right thing and correct their mistake!
