I have a 4-stroke 9.9 hp Honda that is heavy and difficult to tilt by hand on those occasions where it is necessary to do so in a relative hurry. The motor tilter makes it a snap.
Once adjusted, it is simply a case of reaching up, slipping a flange into the handhold on the cowling and pushing down on the handle. It saves the back, maintains boat stability and is so simple a caveman could do it (apologies to Geico).

I found this product to be unsafe and dangerous. The fulcrum is made up of a cheap dye cast metal that can break when used. I know because I had one break on me. I didnt abuse the product and it just snapped as I brought my Johnson 40 horse motor up. It caused me to fall back on my boat and very nearly break a rib and an arm.

Comments about Dotline Motor Tilter:
Not only does this product perform exactly as I expected, half the effort and no unsafe reaching over the back of the boat, Overtons went the extra mile to satisfy me with replacement protective rubber parts when mine was shipped with a rubber part missing!!!

Comments about Dotline Motor Tilter:
I found that my four stroke 15hp outboard motor was to hard to manually tilt. This limited some of the places where I needed to beach the boat. The motor tilter by Dotline makes tilting the motor very easy and I can take my boat anywhere I did before.

Comments about Dotline Motor Tilter:
Perfect item. Can't tell you how safe this product makes you feel. I don't have to worry about falling in the water anymore, and it saves my back from pain. Definite must have for outboard engines with manual lift.
