Built through a partnership between Mossberg and Maverick, the HS12 is a tactical shotgun created with two basic goals: simplicity and affordability. While the HS12's action was based on Mossberg's earlier Hunter models, the HS-12 was built from the ground up with the kind of features that shooters demand in a tactical firearm. Compact and easy to maneuver, the HS12 has an 18-1/2" barrel and an overall length that's even shorter than the beloved 590A1. All Maverick over-and-unders are designed with dual locking lugs for a solid lock-up of barrels to receiver and feature an ambidextrous, thumb-operated safety and an integrated barrel selector located on the top tang for convenient, easy-to see operation. In addition, the HS12 comes standard with receiver-mounted and under-barrel Picatinny rails ready for quick and easy attachment of sights, lights, or other accessories.
