This gas-operated autoloading shotgun excels in every environment you do, from walking cornfields to sitting in stands to hunkering down in a marsh. The 930 handles 12-gauge, 2-3/4" and 3" ammunition with ease, from low brass target loads to non-toxic magnum rounds to the latest in sabot slug ammo. The smooth, contoured design and Mossberg Uni-Line receiver delivers instinctive eye/rib alignment for instant target acquisition. Comments about Mossberg 930 Blackwater SPX Shotgun:

A friend of mine purchased the same gun and gave me a tip to field strip the shotgun before firing. I took his advice, cleaned and oiled lightly ( there is a video on You Tube that covers it). I have had the shotgun for two years and have fired well over 1,000 rounds using 7 ½ bird shot to 3" 00 buck and have never had a FTF or FTE.

The sights were right-on out of the box at 100 yards using slugs and held a nice pattern up to 50 yards with 00 buck. The stock has a built-in buffer on both 930 models to help reduce recoil. The magazine holds 7 rounds, not 8, however, with one in the tube you have a 8 round capacity. There is a You Tube video which shows how to load 9 using the Ghost-load method.

I highly recommend this shotgun as a unique tactical weapon. The key is to use good ammo (if you never heard of it don't use it), and keep it clean.

Comments about Mossberg 930 Blackwater SPX Shotgun:

I bought this for home defense and it was half the price of the M4. The SPX exceeded all expectations! It fed everything I put in it with NO jams no matter how fast I shot! It was very accurate with Remington slugs. I shot several 5 shot groups at 50 yards I could cover with a coke can bottom with just the peep sights! Will buy a second one for the RV!

        • More Rounds Chambered

        Best Uses

Comments about Mossberg 930 Blackwater SPX Shotgun:

I bought this firearm because of the Mossberg no nonsense design. At first it was the perfect shotgun I had always wanted. It holds more rounds, not too heavy, and fun to shoot. However, after only 200 rounds the semi-auto function ceased to operate properly. The extractor would fail to eject the spent shell, and it then became a pump action in a sense. No matter what type of high-end ammo I used in this firearm, the results were still the same. Fortunately, I send it to mossberg and they were able to mend the problem. 70 rounds later, the same things started to happen again; STAY AWAY.
