    Comments about Mossberg 535 ATS Shotgun:

    Great gun for the price. My primary use is goose hunting with 3.5" shells. There is a noticeable kick with the big shells, which is manageable with an improved butt pad, but surprisingly little kick with 2 3/4" target loads. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that the factory magazine spring weakened and was unable to cycle 3.5" shells. Warranty covered it, but only if the gun was professionally disassembled and shipped to Mossberg. It was an easy at home replacement with an aftermarket heavy duty spring for about $12.
