      I am an outdoorsmen how loves to hunt and now that my son is 10 I take him with me all the time. This year for Turkey season we tried the old 410 and it just didnt have the distance. So I started my research on youth shotguns and thats when I found the Bantam. It is the same as the full size 500 series. The fact that the shotgun can grow with him is great. He loved it. It has great distance and the pattern was perfect for Turkey or change the choke and your ready for Deer or Hog hunting. I would recommend this shotgun to any young hunters.

        thinking of getting this model for my wife because she is smaller in stature, would this be a good fit for her?

          Yes. The chushioned buttpad greatly reduces recoil, and the synthetic body decreases weight. The buttpad can change length, fitting any smaller stature shooter (like me.)
