Comments about Mossberg® Model 500 Grand Slam Turkey Shotgun:
Lightweight, works GREAT, kicks with magnums but the recoil pad is very good, outstanding patterns with lead or hevi-shot, outstanding value, should last forever, tougher than it needs to be.
This is a great buy, grab one before the price goes up.
Switch the barrel and shoot ducks or geese, barrels are very reasonable.
A lifetime purchase.
Cons are the recoil with 3" magnums, not life changing but you know that you shot something substantial. The 20" barrel has significant muzzle blast also-again w/magnums.
Pros
- Easy to handle
- I like 234 and 3 inch
- Lightweight
- Rugged
Cons
Best Uses
- Outdoors
Comments about Mossberg® Model 500 Grand Slam Turkey Shotgun:
this gun works great at 40 and 45 yards, Its not an overbore so you are able to shoot 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. Not just the 3 1/2 inch monsters.
I dropped this gun varmint hunting at least 5 feet down an Arizona arroyo, and was still was able to thump a coyote that very afternoon.
