Q:I have a 10 year old pontoon with an internal 25 gallon tank. The fuel gauge system seems to be stuck at around 1/3 full despite the tank being filled. The gauge itself is not stuck as it returns to below empty with the ignition off, and returns to 1/3 with the ignition on. Is this diagnostic of a sending unit failure?Asked on 8/27/2013 by Ken from Oakland, MD
Q:is that a fuel line aswell wires for the sending unit or is this just a sending unit thanks for the replyAsked on 8/22/2013 by mark from United States
Q:Is this unit a continuously variable sender or does it provide only discrete levels such as by quarters or eighths of full. I have a similar sender that provides only quarter tank increments and which fluctuates up and down wth boat movement, neither of which is very helpful.Asked on 7/19/2013 by Bill from Pennsylvania
Q:My tank measures 10 inch on the outside. It's in a beachcomber pontoon boat. What size would I need. ThanksAsked on 6/30/2013 by CJ from Indiana
Q:my gas gauge quit working all at once The sending unit looks identical to the moller reed Is there any way to test the sending unit before replacing itAsked on 5/6/2012 by Anonymous from Walker La,
A:Connect an ohmmeter across the leads of the sending unit. If it is ok, it will read between 30 and 245 ohms. If you don't get a reading, it is not a good sender.Answered on 7/11/2013 by Fastflyer from Haysville, Ks
Q:I have a WEMA System 1299 DFW5 sending unit that looks similar to this unit. It is made by Moeller Marine Products.
My question relates to the what type of electrical connector does your unit shown here have on it? Will it replace my unit mentioned above?
Thanks.Asked on 8/1/2009 by Terry from Burgin, KY
A:If your reed sender is made by moeller, then this unit will have the same connector as your current reed sender because our reed sender is also made by moeller. ThanksAsked on 7/29/2009 by Anonymous from Jacksonville ,Florida
A:Moeller makes several size reed senders. They start at 9 inch and go up from there. They make a 9", 11", 13", 15" and 18.5" reed sswitch senders. They do not make anything smaller so we can not get anything smaller. The larger ones would have to be special ordered through our special orders department.
