Q:
can a sending unit be installed in this tankAsked on 7/23/2009 by Todd from Milwaukee , Wi1 answer

A:
No it can not. This is an above deck tank so instead of using a sending unit, the supplier assumes that since the tank will be in sight, being that it is not a below deck fuel tank under the floor of the boat, that they can place a sight gauge on top of the tank so that you can just walk over to it and see how full or empty it is. You would not be able to replace that sight gauge with a sending unit, as we have some similar to this tank with a sending unit already mounted on it.For instance item 39531 is very similar in dimensions and is actually cheaper than the above deck fuel tank.Answered on 11/13/2009 by OVERTON'S from TECHNICIAN
