The reel is great. Very smooth and has great line capacity. The rod on the other hand isnt so great. The first time I took it fishing the tip snapped off. The rod isnt very well constructed but it does cast far.

This rod lasted 2 casts and the tip broke off during the 2nd cast. When I returned it to the store the girl at the desk said "we are getting a ton of these rods returned". Maybe it was just the batch my local store had.
