after Hurricane Sandy we were without power for a week. No home phone, cell service, cable or radio. Hopefully we will not have to use it but the way our weather patterns have changed odds are we will and will be better prepared by having this radio. MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments about Midland® ER102 Weather Alert Radio:

I purchased this for my husband for father's day, he's an avid fisherman who spends hours on the river and had no radio in the boat. He loved it from the first time he took it out with him! Not only AM/FM to keep him company, but the NOAA radio for weather alerts, and the safety features, alarm, flashlight, etc. give us all peace of mind.

Comments about Midland® ER102 Weather Alert Radio:

Love the idea of a radio like this (multi-featured and small size). However, I will be getting my 5th replacement from Midland shortly. Problems with the LED display not functioning properly on 2, the red charging light staying on, and this last one, the FM display shows 994.1 to 990.4???? [...]Midland said they'd send this latest one free. Sure hope so and hope it works. They work for awhile, then one strange thing after another. The other thing that I don't like is the radio will emit a "siren" when it goes below 32 degrees unless you take out batteries and unplug the rechargeable battery pack. So don't leave it in your vehicle over night up north...I had great respect for Midland (had their CB's and "walkie talkies" back in the 60's/70's.
