merrell The Payette Hiker's full-grain leather and rubber bumpers at the toe and heel are built for durability. The combination nubuck pig suede leather and mesh upper is ultra-durable and breathes easily. A Merrell Air Cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability, while the QForm Comfort midsole provides women's-specific, stride-sequenced cushioning. The shoe's lining is treated with an AEGIS antimicrobial solution to reduce odors. The Vibram Mermaid outsole with TC5+ rubber compound and a heavier 4.5mm sole lug depth delivers vital traction in high-friction areas and under the arch. Strobel construction offers flexibility and comfort. Bellows tongue keeps debris out. Merrell Omni-Fit lacing system provides a precise, glove-like fit. Ortholite anatomical footbed.       I loved these shoes when I first bought them, they're the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. After a week, a bunch of the treads started falling off. I returned them and got a new pair of the same, thinking maybe there was something wrong with that pair for some reason. After a few weeks, the treads are starting to fall off of these ones too. I only brought my first pair on one hiking trip, otherwise, this is happening just from casual every day use. I am returning the second pair today.

          I will wear these at work everyday in winter months. I read a review that said they run one half size to small this was accurate. They seem like a durable shoe as I am on my feet a lot at work. I noticed that they are slick when they are a little wet.
