        I wanted a light weight hiking shoe that was cooler to wear in hotter temps. i was not concerned about them being waterproof. I think these will be good. I needed a wide shoe and I was afraid to buy these without trying them on but the fit was perfect.

          I have bought three pairs of the Moab ventilator mid hiker, and this IS THE MOST comfortable shoe i have ever worn...right out of the box. I use these boots mostly for hiking the local trails, but they are comfortable no matter what your doing, or how long your doing it. I have had 2 back surgeries, and these shoes help me out considerably. I have one pair that are somewhat worn out that i use for yard work, and bought 2 pair the last time i went to gander mtn., for fear they might quit making this wonderful shoe. Two thumbs up!

                  My third pair. Sizing is variable. I take a 10.5 and the first pair fit like skin. Second pair I ordered and they were way too narrow. Third pair went into Gander again and had to try a couple of 10.5 pairs on to get one that fit. Same size but made very different.
                  Very comfortable. Wear them all day. Confident hikers in the boundary waters. Not waterproof but dry out quickly.

                    Does not claim to be water proof, and this is cleat the first time you wear them into wet grass.
                    These are great for everyday use of maybe fishing, but they are not "Hiking" boost.
