Merkel side by sides are the shortest, handiest, best balanced and fastest-pointing rifle you can find to deliver two shots with great speed and reliability. The 141 is known as a petite rifle, an Anson & Deely boxlock rifle based on a 28-gauge size shotgun frame. This lighter frame makes possible a lighter, handier and more easily portable side-by-side rifle. The action bolts up tight with double under-lugs and a Greener crossbolt with sideclips. The 141 comes standard with a Turkish walnut pistol grip, hogback comb stock with a beavertail forend and the laser-cut checkering is applied in a conventional point pattern. It also features innovative mechanical adjustments for vertical and horizontal alignment of the barrels, which can be adjusted by a factory trained service technician to regulate both barrels to the same point of impact when changing ammunition or optical sights without the need for re-soldering. This rifle features handcut game scenes, ejectors, and open sights and its break lever is slightly to the right of the tang. Its wood, metal, and bore are in very good condition.
