Product Description
Prevent injuries and costly veterinarian visits for your dog with the Mendota Products Skid Plate. The ventilated Skid Plate features two-ply 1,000 denier Cordura nylon for extreme durability and protection of your dog's chest, stomach and side areas that are hardest hit in the field. The adjustable strap system made of rugged nylon webbing features quick-release buckles, slide adjusters and a steel center ring to ensure a proper fit. Water-resistant and machine washable. Fits dogs 65 - 85 lbs. with a chest width of 4" - 5", a chest circumference of 26" - 34" and a waist circumference of 23" - 31". Large. Blaze orange.

    Best vest I've ever used for the price. Works great for making corrections on the bullheaded dog that wants to creep or will not honor point. Great durable protection for the underbelly. I've yet to wear one out and I've used them quite extensively from dog to dog. Smalls are hard to find but work with the Brittany quite well. Some Brits are pretty small but have big hearts.

        I own a Large Munsterlander. She is a long hair German dog. This skid plate saves me hours of time removing burrs from my dogs chest. I will not run her in the field with out the skid plate.

                I use this on my GSP when we go hunting for Grouse. He crashes through brush and thorns and the vest protects him without sliding around or hampering his movement. Also, the vest is quick and easy to put on.

                  I use these vests on both of my GSP's and wow they do a tremendous job protecting my dogs from injury in the field and costly vet bills. Keeps my dogs in action and hunting hard. I use them daily.

                  The only con that I have experienced while using the vests are they requires a break in period and can be very abrasive at first rubbing hair completely off the dogs in select spots. I use vaseline around the edges of the vest to soften the material a bit to elevate the issue.

                  **Recommended**

                  Wash the vest a couple times before sending your dog out in the field in it for heavy use.

                  Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
