Product Description
SkegGuard can be used to protect and prevent damage to your motor skeg, as well as to repair or replace an already broken skeg. Constructed of high-quality 316 stainless steel, SkegGuard has an extra reinforced wear tab where the skeg is most vulnerable. This 2.5mm thickened lower plate will withstand damage or abrasion from hidden rocks and debris or accidental ramp dragging. SkegGuard can be installed on a lower unit with as little as 2" of skeg remaining. Secured with self-locking hardware, SkegGuard can be installed in less than ten minutes with simple tools. Its mirror-polished finish creates a custom look. 3-year warranty.Fits: •Mercruiser Bravo I, III '90-'10 |

Pros
- Good Performance
- Installed easily
Cons
- Slightly loose fit
Best Uses
Comments about Skeggard Megaware SkegGuard:
I rated it 4 stars only because the fit on my Bravo 1 outdrive is very slightly loose. Other than that it was very easy to install. It looks great and it performs well.

Pros
- Good Performance
- Weather Resistant
- Well Made
Cons
- Loose fit
Best Uses
- 24' boat
Comments about Skeggard Megaware SkegGuard:
Adds a nice look to the out drive, matches my bravo 3 dual SS props. Got it to help with low speed wander but have not seen much improvement. What I did get was amazing high speed turn control. You have to be careful because if you've come to expect sliding into turns you will get tossed when your boat makes a 90 on a hard turn. Even though it was a loose fit the screws pulled it in tight.

Pros
- Ease of Install
- Improved Appearance
Cons
- Instructions Vague
Best Uses
- Any Boat With Skeg
Comments about Skeggard Megaware SkegGuard:
The SkegGuard is a GREAT improvement over the missing pieces of the skeg which was damaged when loading the boat at a boat landing.
Would have liked to see better instructions as to the ACTUAL positioning of the SkegGuard as when I installed, the top edge of the guard was extremely close to covering the drain plug for the lower unit lube.

Comments about Skeggard Megaware SkegGuard:
The special screws that were included to attached the skeg guard were too short and of poor quality. I had to purchase my own stainless steel hardware to attached the guard to my lower unit.
