    We purchased the 7ft KeelGuard for our Key West 176DC. Megawear recommends a 6ft guard for our boat, but after measuring and reading other reviews, we decided to get the next size up. The almond color matches our creamy white boat almost perfectly.

    As far as installation...
    I surprised my husband by installing it myself! After reading and watching the DVD (in-case I missed something), it took me more like 90 minutes from beginning to end. The most aggravating part was measuring and masking off the area—working with the "v" keel plus the curve of the under part of the boat was tricky. I used a grease pencil, painters tape and a flexible kids ruler (worked WAY better than a tape measure). I used the supplied scoring pad, wiped clean with D-natured alcohol and sanded with a low grit sand paper to make sure the surface was perfect.

    The next most aggravating part was that my boat was on the trailer during this entire process. The trailer's winch was almost in my way where you couldn't get a straight shot of the keel to make sure everything was straight. But since I took my time and didn't rush, my KeelGuard looks like a professional installed it!

    I can't say much about it's performance b/c we've yet to get our boat wet this week... but give us the weekend to put it thru the works!
