Comments about SPORTS SOUTH INC Maverick Model 88 Shotgun:
Companies like Marlin and Savage used to produce a "working man's" firearm that most people could afford. No longer. I guess they forgot their roots. Mossberg has not. They make a shotgun that will put meat on the table, or protect you and your family, at a price that's reasonable.
It's not a fancy shotgun, but most working folks could care less about fancy. It's rugged and functional, and that's what counts.
Take care of it, keep it clean, and it will last you a long time. Cudos to Mossberg for remembering "regular" folks.
