Comments about SPORTS SOUTH INC Maverick® Model 88 Shotgun:

Shoots great! From a big family, so various barrels and other parts are around new or used. Finely made for the price. Only issue: Non-steel (plastic?) trigger guard and safety button (which is small too); so far, no prob. Like other Mossberg/Mavs, the slide rails allow more slider flexing than other brands. This doesn't impact my field use of no rapid cycling. The stock butt is good and fat.

  Yes, my model "88" came with the accu-choke tube already screwed in (check tightness before using new, tho)
