For more than 150 years, the name Mauser has been synonymous with sturdy, high-quality products. The Mauser 660 is a sharp-shooting rifle built around a short-throw bolt action developed by Walter Gehmann. In this action, the bolt has two frontal lugs that engage a barrel extension, which is screwed onto the barrel. Unlike the famous standard Mauser action, the Gehmann bolt has cocking handle near the front end of the bolt and the receiver has a split bridge. The magazine is integral and holds three rounds. This rifle features a Monte Carlo stock, a blade front sight, a flip-up leaf rear sight, and a cross-bolt safety. Its wood is in good condition and its metal and bore are in very good condition.
