Product Description
Built on the legendary Mauser 98 action, the M48 was manufactured in Yugoslavia with a high level of care and precision. The Mauser 98 action at the heart of the M48 is perhaps the most trusted bolt action ever created. The M48 is easily distinguishable from the German K98 by its intermediate-length receiver with a top handguard that extends behind the rear sight and ends just in front of the receiver ring. The M48 was also built with much finer craftsmanship and with far better materials than most of the late WWII era K98's. M48 parts were milled rather than being stamped and more care was put into their fit and finish. This Yugoslavian rifle features a fixed front sight with an adjustable rear and a 2-position safety. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in very good condition.
