The Mauser HSc was originally intended as a commercial pistol, but was quickly adopted for military and law-enforcement use. A milestone in design and a giant leap forward for Mauser when it first hit the market in 1940, the HSc is a double action pistol of a very modern appearance. The hammer is concealed in the slide, leaving only the very tip protruding just enough to allow the thumb to cock it. The inertial firing pin-half-cock notch, slide mounted manual safety was an entirely new design that blocks the firing pin and lifts its head out of alignment with the hammer, making the HSc a very safe firearm to carry. This pistol was made during World War II and has German army proofmarks. Its grips are in good condition and its metal and bore are in very good condition.
