Developed in 1889, the Marlin Safety was the first first side-ejecting, solid-top receiver ever made. The firearms built with this system are among the guns that helped tame the west and laid the foundation for every lever-action Marlin to come. This rifle has a "K" carved into the bottom of the receiver and features a fixed blade front sight and a Buckhorn rear sight with a missing elevator. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in good condition.
