The Marlin 336 is the second largest selling high-powered sporting rifle in U.S. history due to its obvious build-quality and durability. The 336 is built around a semi-pistol grip stock with a 20-inch barrel and a full length tube magazine. The solid, flat top receiver and side ejection of the 336 allow for easy optic attachment. The design of the Marlin 336 allows the user to remove the lever pivot screw with a common screwdriver, allowing removal of the lever, bolt and ejector for maintenance, which means that the user can clean the barrel from the breech, like a bolt-action rifle, avoiding wear to the muzzle. The updated 336XLR eliminates the traditional barrel bands, has a four inch longer barrel than standard Model 336s, and reverts to the slightly slower 1 in 12" twist rate to take advantage of improvements in modern ammo. Its heavy-grained laminated wooden stock merges beautifully with a stainless steel barrel and receiver. This rifle features a hooded blade front sight, an elevation-adjustable rear sight, and a cross-block safety and comes with the original factory box. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in very good condition.
