Made for sale at department stores, Marlin's 30AS is mechanically identical to their trusted lever-action 336. The 30A is built around a semi-pistol grip stock with a 24-inch barrel and a full length tube magazine. The solid, flat top receiver and side ejection of the 30A allow for easy optic attachment. The design of the Marlin 30A allows the user to remove the lever pivot screw with a common screwdriver, allowing removal of the lever, bolt and ejector for maintenance, which means that the user can clean the barrel from the breech, like a bolt-action rifle, avoiding wear to the muzzle. The addition of a rubber buttplate adds to the rifle's appeal. This rifle features a a post front sight, an adjustable rear sight, a Weaver-style scope-mounting base, and a cross-bolt safety. Its wood and metal are in good condition and its bore is in very good condition.
