Introduced in 1972, Marlin's 1895 was created specifically to handle powerful .45-70 Government rounds and helped bring the forgotten cartridge back to prominence for North American big game hunting. The 1895 is a side-ejection lever-action with a straight-grip walnut stock that's perfect for close-range dangerous game pursuit. The 1895S variant was one of the first rifles to have micro-grooved barrels, making it suitable for cast lead bullets. This solidly-built rifle features an oil-finished walnut stock, a crossbolt safety, a ramped front sight, and a long eye relief Burris 2-7 handgun scope. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in very good condition.
