          I would prefer to use the 10 round clip, but the 10 round clip binds being loaded and extracted. This makes it difficult for the younger shooters (such as my 11 and 12 yo sons)to use properly or easily.

              This magazine will not fit the Marlin 989. This magazine is for post 1996 models. The Model 989 was manufactured from 1962-1965 so it will not work.

              According to the manufacture, as long as your model is 1996 and after Auto Loader then that magazine would work. They make large round mags but unfortunately we do not have them listed online yet.
