Unit needed to be sent in for a timing issue after first trip on ice. Still have not heard from Marcum do to holidays. Own several other marcums might just be a bad unit.

Comments about MarCum® LX-5 Flasher 3-Color Ice Fishing Sonar:

I fish the North East Ice Tour and have fished with Marcum products for years and this is by far the best unit for both deep water fishing and shallow weedbed fishing. Fishing with this unit will double your catch instantly the tech. is top of the line. I have never had a problem with my unit a couple of friends have broke transducers but it was because of misuse or abuse. If you know someone that has one ask them to show you it in use it's truely a must have for all icefishermen. Also works out of the boat in the summer time although if drifting the cone angle can put you at a disadvantge over a Lowerance but works in a pinch to tell you the depth.
