Product DescriptionThe SweetWater complete purification system combines microfilter filtration with chlorine-base purification to deliver clean water and protect against bacteria, protozoa, and viruses in popular wilderness areas and developing countries. The 0.2 micron SweetWater Microfilter with granulated activated carbon removes waterborne bacteria and protozoa, particulate, taste, odor, chemicals, and toxins. Chlorine-based, iodine-free Purifier Solution destroys 99.99% of waterborne viruses, bacteria, and common protozoan parasites (such as giardia and Cryptosporidium) and leaves no unpleasant iodine taste.
The SweetWater's sturdy, easy-to-use lever-action pump handle provides a 4-to-1 mechanical advantage and dual-pump action, drawing water on both the down and up stroke so you don't have to work as hard. Simply pump the water through the purifier, then add five drops of the purifier solution per liter and wait five minutes for the purification process to complete. Produces 1.25 liters per minute. Meets U.S. EPA requirements for microbiological water purifiers.
