Comments about M S R MSR® PocketRocket™ Stove:

This packs neatly into a snow peak 900 pot/pan set along with a small (4 oz) can of isopro fuel. The fire gets so hot the inside tips of the pot stand get cherry red! Together they boil a couple of cups of water in no time flat! Don't want to trust the three tined pot stand too much though, especially in the wind, and you'll need to bring s flint or somesuch to light it with. Overall a very nice gadget for backpacking.

outstanding backpacking stove. ideal for boiling water. cooking a meal on it may be more difficult due to the size of the stove. if all you need is hot water for a dehydrated meal or tea, this is the stove for you.

            Comments about M S R MSR® PocketRocket™ Stove:

This stove is simple, lightweight, and pretty indestructible. There is no piezoelectric starter to fail - as long as you have fire, you have a lit stove. It stays lit after you light it, unless you're cooking in a hurricane. Other stoves are larger and don't come with a carrying case. For those whining about stability, I'd say either pack a larger, heavier stove or shut it up. This stove is the perfect backpacking stove - just buy it.

This stove uses a liquid pressurized gas (LPG) canister that is highly flammable and explosive. Use only MSR® premium blend canister fuel, 70 Butane/30 Propane or 80 IsoButane/20 Propane mix, certified to EN 417 (4 ounces/113 g or 8 ounces/227 g).
