Product Description
The CoolFuel valve on the DragonFly Stove offers unrivaled immediate and continuous flame control. It can simmer a delicate sauce over a candle flame or melt snow over a blowtorch in no time at all. Extra-wide pot supports hold large pots and frying pans, and the suspended burner cup reduces heat that's lost to the ground. Burns white gas, kerosene, unleaded auto fuel, diesel, and jet fuel. The remote burner keeps the flame away from the fuel source. Compact for easy storage. The self-cleaning shaker jet clears out debris with a flick of the wrist. Fuel not included. Weighs 14 oz.

Comments about M S R MSR Dragonfly Stove:

We've been using this stove for 7 years backpacking, canoeing, hunting and winter camping. This is, without doubt, the best backpacking stove for frying fish on the market. Stable, fantastic heat control and easy on fuel. The pilot light is very nice while winter camping. It allows the stove to stay lit while consuming very little fuel inbetween cooking tasks. This means I don't have to take off my gloves and re-light the stove. A huge plus when it's below zero.

This stove has become mandatory gear for every BWCA trip as well as any trip where we processing fish or game in the field via backpack or canoe.

Comments about M S R MSR Dragonfly Stove:

The MSR Dragonfly is not the most lightweight option for backpackers, but it is reliable and versatile. For an extended stay out in the wild, I'd prefer to have this with me, knowing it can take cold temps and versatile fuels. It can crank out high heat fast or simmer slowly. I use the product backpacking and carry 1 cannister (partially filled) with white gas. I wish it weighed less, but now that I have it, I wouldn't leave it behind.

Comments about M S R MSR Dragonfly Stove:

The MSR Dragonfly is a great little stove! It's powerful, easy to use, has great simmer capability, requires minimal maintenance, and burns a multitude of fuels. With that said, the Dragonfly is also extremely loud! When it's on high, it can be heard from 50 feet away, and easily drowns out all conversations within 20 feet. If you're looking for peace and serenity, buy the MSR Whisperlite or the XGK.

What is the maximum size pan you can use. I recently purchased a different MSR stove and was disappointed to discover that 8" was the maximum size pan.

MSR recommends maximum pot size of 9 inches.
Dragonfly stoves will support a 6 quart pot of water without a problem. They are very stable, not tippy.
