I am an armored car agent, and use this item in training to simulate duds. Just slip one or more in the mag with the other rounds, lock and load and you don't know when the 'dud(s)' will show up. Helps train for trigger jerk and misfires. I recently obtained a 1940 P-08 and am using these to "set up' the weapons action.

Comments about Lyman A-Zoom Precision Pistol Snap Caps, 9MM Luger:

The problem with these is the more you eject them with a semi auto little rings of aluminum will break off and stick in your barrel. After using them alot you may notice the color is gone from the end of the casing. That is not the paint chipping away that is leaving material behind. These are only good for use in a revolver or to break in a new magazine. You could also use them to train a person to load but I would not dry fire them in my gun. Go with a Tipton or Traditional brand if you can find them.
