Comments about Lowrance® Mark-5x DSI Fishfinder:
This unit is VERY good at depth measurements even when moving. Screen is a very nice size and shows images well. Installed it on a 1988 Bayliner Capri with a 85hp outboard. Shows pics of the bottom and items in the water very well. Not so good images of the fish that we are all trying to find and catch. Fish show up as small dots on the screen, even at shallow depth settings. It changes the screen for the depths quickly and accurately, very good at that. But I wanted a "fishfinder" first and foremost. So, it was not exactly what I was looking for. If it showed larger images ot the fish like the other finders, it would have been EXACTLY what I was looking for. I liked the bottom images, very accurate and dependable at that. If you want to find fish, do NOT get this one. If you want to see the depth readings, bottom features and other objects in the water, then this is for you. I know I repeated myself a couple of times, but I DID want a FISHFINDER. Will be buying a different one that finds FISH...!!! The electronics are good, and would recommend this Mark 5x DSI "Depth and Bottom Feature Finder" (not Fishfinder as they call it), but only for the reasons stated.

Comments about Lowrance® Mark-5x DSI Fishfinder:
Have had this unit for several weeks now and used it for a half a dozen fishing trips. I have adjusted the screen over and over and cant get it to look like the clarity on the advertisements. Shows weeds ok, but I'm still yet to mark a fish with it. Wish I would of spent a little more money and got a sonar with color display.
