Line guide placement adds casting distance
MSB system means greater cast control
One-piece all-aluminum frame is lightweight
8-bearing system with Zero-Reverse anti-reverse
Carbon composite drag system with metal star drag
With a line capacity of up to 190 yards of 14-lb. test, the Lew's BB2 Inshore Speed Spool Baitcasting Reel is wider, allowing it to hold more line. The reel makes for longer casts, plus handles the runs of powerful reds. The placement of an oversized silver titanium-coated line guide farther away from the spool minimizes line friction and adds to casting distance. The externally-adjustable Multi-Setting Brake (MSB) dual-cast control system utilizes both an external click-dial for setting the magnetic brake, plus four individually-disengaging, disk-mounted internal brake shoes that operate on centrifugal force. This means greater control and less backlashing during the cast.
The one-piece all-aluminum frame is lightweight and durable, and the quick release sideplate mechanism provides easy access to the deep-capacity spool and centrifugal brake system. Premium 8-bearing system with double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings and a Zero-Reverse anti-reverse bearing provides smooth line retrievals. Rugged carbon composite drag system with audible click bowed anodized metal star drag provide up to 14 lbs. of drag power. Bowed 95mm anodized aluminum cranking handle with new EVA power knobs offer a comfortable grip. High-strength brass gearing. External lube port.
