Leupold's Index Matched Lens System with lead free, edge blackened lenses, offers unsurpassed brightness, clarity, contrast and resolution. DiamondCoat lens coatings on exterior lens surfaces provides the ultimate in abrasion resistance for a lifetime of hard hunts and helps boosts light transmission as high as 94% during critical moments of the day when game is most
active. The VX-2 also utilizes other updated design features including an externally threaded, fast focus eyepiece for quick and easy reticle focus. Finger adjustable 1/4 MOA click windage and elevation adjustments provide quick, easy zeroing without coins or tools. The all new maintube features an advanced power selector design incorporating a tactile power indicator and easy-to-read numbers -- and is filled using Leupold's industry leading second generation waterproofing with Argon/Krypton gas blend. Sleek, classic lines and a stylish gold plated Leupold medallion create a durable optic that is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. The 4-12x40mm AO is a great option for the one rifle hunter who pursues medium game and varmints--and is perfect atop .243s, 25-06s and the various 6.5s.

I have had this scope on my Model 116L Savage .300 Win mag and it has preformed flawlessly for the last 8yrs. It took a little getting used to the adj. Objective but after that I have rarely missed a shot. Thanks Leupold for a GREAT product that is durable on top of one of the lighest rifles on the market (syn stock)!!

    power adjustment is a little stiff to turn up & down other than that i can't find a thing that i don't like...very clear.sharp around the edges.easy to use.it's just great
