This is the only boot that I have ever owned that has lasted me over a year. Averqage pair of boots only last me 6-9 months but these have held up after 1 1/2 years. I use them for logging, hiking, roofing, and when they were new I used them on a rocky mountian elk hunt. I will never buy another boot as long as these are on the market.

I'm a big guy(6'2'') 245 lbs., w/ flat feet so comfort is a big issue.I have a landscape and lawn service. On my 3rd pair. The 1st 2 pr. lasted 7-8 months and the spongy rubber above the heel begin to disintegrate. This 3rd pair has lasted about 5 months, with the same results.I would expect them to last a year or two for what they cost.Unfortunately they cannot be repaired. The repairman said this is caused by age rather than wear. They must have sat on the shelf for awhile.

Comments about LaCrosse Quad Comfort 6" Plain-Toe Work Boot:
I was excited to get these boots. I was saddened they were not available at Gander Mountain in the Watertown, NY store to purchase right then. I had to spend gas money looking all over Watertown for them and could not find them. So I had to order online and spend extra money to get them here sooner.

Comments about LaCrosse Quad Comfort 6" Plain-Toe Work Boot:
Great shoe for my farm work. Provides great ankle stability. When new, the shoes have a pressure point at the tie hooks but have gone away after a dozen uses.

Comments about LaCrosse Quad Comfort 6" Plain-Toe Work Boot:
These are my "at home" boots but they get worn 4-5 days a week for work in my shop and outside. I hate wet socks so I like the water proof boots. They are plenty comfortable and the soles are almost indestructable if you don't step on hot slag from your cutting torch. I've had these for about 4years and the toes are wearing through. My biggest con is that the leather around the top was not color fast. The dye from the leather made a nice black ring around all of my white socks. I started wearing black socks to solve the problem.

Comments about LaCrosse Quad Comfort 6" Plain-Toe Work Boot:
These are the best boots I have ever owned. I have owned every top of the line brand name boot and paid way more and have never been as happy as I am with these boots. I am on my second pair of laces .. about 4 years old. My wife wants me to get a new pair becuase I wear them everywhere and they show their age .. but still no leaks. I wear them working, hunting, going out, and on my quad. They always keep my feet dry and comfortable. I'm going to buy a new pair today but i'm still not throwing the old ones out.

Q:
are these boots any good for the winter time in Indiana in the snowAsked on 7/13/2010 by jeepnit from Lebanon,In1 answer
A:
I can attest to the fact that they are waterproof, which would be good when it's slushy. However, they are not that tall for deeper snow and I'd order a half size large to accomadate wool socks.I'm a transplanted Hoosier who came to Florida via 23 yrs. in Chicago.I work outside and they are Quite comfortable here.Answered on 7/31/2010 by Digger from Okeechobee,Fl.
